Can I drive a motorcycle myself?
It is possible if you have a motorcycle license with IDP (1968 Convention). Ha Giang is not for inexperienced drivers. It is illegal to drive without the right papers, and the police may stop you. We highly recommend the Easy Rider option so you can enjoy the views without the stress of mountain roads or legal issues.
Should I choose a car or motorbike tour?
Riding on the back of a bike (Easy Rider) is our top recommendation for the most authentic experience. You feel the mountain air and can stop easily anywhere. The Car option is better for those seeking comfort, traveling with children, or wanting protection against weather elements like rain, heat, or cold.
How safe is the Ha Giang Loop?
While mountain roads can be challenging with winding passes, our motorbike guides are highly experienced professional drivers. They have navigated this route hundreds of times, ensuring your safety so you can focus on enjoying the journey.
Can I leave my large luggage behind?
Yes! We have secure storage space at our office in Ha Giang City (start/end point). If you opt for the motorbike tour, we recommend bringing a smaller daypack. If you choose the car option, bringing a suitcase is no problem.
What is the quality of accommodation?
Ha Giang is a remote area, so accommodations are mostly authentic homestays or basic hotels. While not luxury, we ensure they are clean, comfortable, and always have private bathrooms. Homestays offer a unique cultural experience with local families.
How big are the groups typically?
We keep our groups cozy and personal, typically between 8 to 12 people. This is much better than "party tours" that often have 50-100 people, allowing us to provide better service and a more peaceful experience.
Is travel insurance included?
Domestic insurance is included in our package. However, we strongly recommend that you have your own international travel insurance that covers motorcycling. It is essential for medical emergencies, flight cancellations, or lost belongings.
